Aspen Communications is a true family affair. We're proud to announce the official addition of daughter, Laurel to the Aspen creative team. She's currently being paid in free room and board.
Monica, Randy's wife and best friend of nearly 18 years, remains the lead idea generator at Aspen Communications, with an infectious Type-A personality and a mind that never stops thinking of ways to get more bang for the clients' buck. Monica's least favorite phrase: "That won't work."
Ten year-old Evan plans to one day create and lead the Sports Information Division of Aspen Communications, while eight year-old Raina intends to make sure that all of Aspen's operations are environmentally friendly and that we don't lose sight of our connection to Mother Nature.
Randy Ferguson, President/Owner Randy has been a communications, public relations and marketing leader for over 15 years. He served as Director of Communications for Channellock, Inc. of Meadville, Pennsylvania for 12 years and has served as Director of Public Relations & Marketing for Jameson Health System in New Castle, Pennsylvania since March, 2008.
Randy is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He is also an active member of the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of directors of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and The Greenville Area Leisure Services Association (GALSA). He is the Crawford and Mercer County Coordinator for Hunters Sharing The Harvest™, a statewide venison donation program.
Randy formerly served on the boards of the Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce, Crawford County School-to-Work Partnership, United Way of Western Crawford County, Inc., Crawford County Career & Technical Center, PENNCREST School District Business Advisory Committee, and Penn State Erie – The Behrend College Alumni Society.
He is an accomplished freelance outdoor writer and photographer with credits including: Pennsylvania Magazine, Hunting & Fishing Digest, Pennsylvania Game News, Fish and Field Report, Pennsylvania Afield, Bowhunter, Keystone Outdoors, The Business Journal, Greenville Record-Argus, Meadville Tribune, Erie Times-News and Civility in Business and Professional Communication. High school sweethearts Randy and wife Monica have been married for nearly 18 years. They have three children: Laurel, 16; Evan, 10 and Raina, 8. Family comes first for the busy couple, with each of the children active in sports and school activities. But the family also enjoys any opportunity to get away from the routine and take part in outdoor activities and social gatherings. Monica fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2008 by purchasing Greenville Fitness (www.greenville-fitness.com), a full-service fitness center offering an array of group exercise classes, cardio equipment, free and resistance weight training and personal fitness instruction.
Laurel Ferguson, Writer/Photographer Laurel is a Reynolds High School student with a gift for the written word and a true photographic eye. She assists with copy writing projects and virtually all photographic needs for our clients.
In addition to a full academic course load, Laurel studies photography as an elective and is a member of the Raider Invader newspaper staff, performs in the Ensemble, recently played a lead role in an RHS production of Guys and Dolls and participates in various sports and extra-curricular activities.
She plans to be the third generation Ferguson to attend Penn State University, with her eye on a major in secondary English education or other options that would foster her love for writing, photography and the arts.
